CEPA assists CRU with transitioning businesses to nationally harmonised, cost-reflective trade effluent charges
The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) published its Proposed Decision and public consultation on transition mechanisms to apply to Uisce Éireann’s (Irish Water’s) trade effluent customers.
The Proposed Decision paves the way for all Irish businesses to pay their fair share for water and wastewater services under a common charging structure – replacing arrangements which have, for some, been unchanged since Uisce Éireann assumed responsibility from local authorities in 2013.
CEPA is proud to have advised the CRU in relation to this matter, and to have supported its charging reform process since 2022.
