Nicky Barker has recently joined CEPA as an economist. She is currently working across the spectrum of practice areas covered by the firm.
Prior to joining CEPA, Nicky undertook a number of research projects in the development economics field in connection with the Migrating Out of Poverty research consortium. This included research into barriers to education in rural Zimbabwe for children of migrant workers, as well as researching remittance behaviour of migrant workers from Myanmar. She has also presented research at the British Conference for Undergraduate Research events including the Posters in Parliament event.
Nicky has recently completed her MSc in Economics from University College London (UCL), with a dissertation investigating 'Inter-generational and Intra-generational Transmission of Criminal Behaviour onto Juveniles in the UK'. She also holds a BSc (First Class) in Economics from the University of Sussex.
