‘Rating the rankings’: how are the NHS acute trust league tables performing?
Exactly one year ago, the NHS league tables were re-introduced.
As set out in a speech by former Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Wes Streeting, NHS league tables have been brought back to improve transparency and accountability for performance, patient choice and incentives.
With league table rankings now a key talking point in trust boardrooms, among patients and in the national media, CEPA’s analysis ‘rates the rankings’, assessing whether the NHS league tables for acute trusts are achieving their stated objectives after their first year.
