Gatsby Africa asks CEPA about development finance
Gatsby Africa, part of the charitable foundation established by David Sainsbury in 1967, asked the CEPA team to help produce a study to consider the potential for providing concessional finance to support sector transformation. The work involved:
- Looking at the role played by finance in sectors that have been successfully transformed.
- Considering the extent that finance is currently available for agriculture.
- Presenting initial ideas to increase the type of finance needed to support the transformation of the agricultural sector in developing countries.
The findings are included in a final report, which has been published by Gatsby Africa.
