Hurdle rates for electricity generation technologies
CEPA provided advice on the relevant investment hurdle rates for different electricity technologies, including generation, storage, demand response, and interconnectors. CEPA's advice drew on a range of evidence, including analysis of market data and an investor survey. The report considered how hurdle rates would change under different market assumptions / support schemes. The hurdle rates informed policy decisions in the UK electricity sector.
As part of the project, CEPA also provided knowledge transfer to the client.
