Electricity and Gas
Within its Regulatory Economics and Competition practice, CEPA has focused to date on the Energy, Transport and Water and Sanitation sectors.

We provide comprehensive economic, financial, and regulatory advisory services to key stakeholders within these industries, with the aim of:

Supporting the development of efficiently functioning markets.

Creating enabling environments that allow sustainable and efficient business to flourish.

Creating appropriate incentives for reliable delivery of products and services, many of which are purely or partially public good in nature.

CEPA's clients in this area include UK infrastructure regulators, the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem) and the Office of Water Services (Ofwat). We have also advised the London Underground PPP Arbiter, numerous UK Government Departments, such as Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and Department for Transport (DfT), and the Portuguese Competition Authority. In addition we have provided economic and financial advice to a number of private sector utilities and infrastructure providers.
