Building on CEPA’s long-term advisory support to PMNCH, CEPA were retained to provide consultancy services in two areas:
- Technical support in delivering specific PMNCH workplan activities. This work stream included providing administrative and technical support for the ongoing activities of the PMNCH Secretariat and Partners. In particular, this involved: developing materials for donor reporting requirements, and researching and developing strategies for engaging new donors; supporting constituency governance arrangements; and supporting ongoing RMNCH accountability processes. We have also supported the PMNCH Secretariat in the development of: the 2014 workplan and supporting logframe and budget; the 2013 Progress Report on the Partnership’s activities; and a knowledge summary on the Global Investment Framework outlining the economic benefits of investing in RMNCH.
- Support to the PMNCH Independent Evaluation Committee. This work stream entailed acting as an independent secretariat to the Committee in its capacity to oversee the external evaluation of PMNCH. More specifically, this involved: facilitating meetings and developing detailed notes for the record; managing communications with the evaluation consultants, PMNCH Secretariat, and the Evaluation Committee; and providing any ad hoc support requested to help the Committee in fulfilling its responsibilities.
