CEPA has been contracted by PMNCH to provide support in the following areas:
- Support to PMNCH’s consultation on updating the Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ health. CEPA is supporting PMNCH with its role in updating the Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ health for launch in September 2015 alongside the new post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals. CEPA supported PMNCH in conducting the first round of an ongoing global consultation process and producing a report which synthesises the views of over 4,500 organisations and individuals on the updated Global Strategy (available at www.WomenChildrenPost2015.org). In order to produce this report, this workstream has included drafting an online survey, consolidating feedback from a wide range of stakeholders and developing qualitative and quantitative data tools to collate and analyse all information provided. This workstream is ongoing, with CEPA currently supporting the consolidation of feedback on the Technical Working Papers, which will feed in to updating the Global Strategy.
- Support to PMNCH’s consultation on the Global Financing Facility (GFF). CEPA has supported PMNCH in conducting a global consultation process and producing a report which synthesises the views of over 1,400 organisations and individuals on the Global Financing Facility (GFF). The GFF was announced at the "Every Woman Every Child" event during the 69th UN General Assembly in New York, in support of the Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health to build long-term domestic and international funding commitments for women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health. CEPA developed briefing documents to ensure those being consulted were fully informed on the GFF; drafted Terms of Reference for the Consultative Advisory Group implemented to provide oversight to the process; drafted an online consultation survey; developed qualitative and quantitative data tools to collate and analyse all information provided through the online survey, individual and organisational submissions and through views submitted via social media as part of the consultation; developed a presentation for the PMNCH Board on the process and emerging issues; drafted the final report to be submitted to the PMNCH Board and World Bank GFF Working Group; and provided ongoing administrative support to the Secretariat throughout the process. This report, available at www.WomenChildrenPost2015.org, provided timely and constructive input to the GFF business plan development.
- Technical support in developing the 2015 workplan. This work stream involved providing administrative and technical support to develop the 2015 workplan. In particular through identifying and prioritising activities based on staff consultations; modelling potential activity budgets; developing an actionable workplan document with accompanying budgets and results chain; and drafting a concept note and presentation for PMNCH Board.
- Follow up to the PMNCH Independent Evaluation and its recommendations. This work stream involved providing support to the Secretariat to respond to recommendations made as part of the External Evaluation of the partnership, 2009 – 2013. In particular this involved: developing a Board response on the evaluation findings and recommendations with a detailed action plan and providing ongoing support to implementing these actions.
- Support to Governance and Resource Management work streams. This ongoing work stream involves providing ad hoc support to PMNCH, as and when required.
