The Global Health Group (GHG) is an “action tank” dedicated to identifying, elaborating and translating innovative solutions to major global health challenges into large-scale action to advance health and save lives in low- and middle-income countries.
Working with GHG’s Malaria Elimination Initiative, CEPA were appointed to:
- assess the current and future global financing landscape for malaria elimination; and
- recommend options for developing one or more feasible and pragmatic mechanisms to channel and deliver supplemental financing in the future.
The study involved extensive desk-based review of documents and informant interviews (with key donors and members of the Economics and Finance Working Group of the Malaria Elimination Group).
CEPA also reviewed trends in financing for malaria elimination using data on Official Development Assistance (ODA) from OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC).
Based on the full report, a policy brief was also developed. Both documents can be accessed here.
