The ability of governments and their national and global partners to deliver sustainable healthcare to the growing populations in resource constrained countries will be critical if we are to move closer to achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) more generally, and the healthcare MDGs in particular.
In this context, CEPA has advised a broad range of health sector stakeholders, including bilateral and multilateral donors, global health partnerships, and foundations, on:
appropriate strategies, governance, operating and institutional structures, and resource mobilisation mechanisms for global health partnerships;
analysis of mechanisms to attract participation / financing from non-state actors (including both for and non-for profit private sector) in the development and delivery of healthcare strategies in developing countries;
approaches to projecting and evaluating outputs, outcomes and impacts of complex donor and foundation-funded programmes / interventions;
health systems and related economics, including issues relevant to supply of healthcare commodities to developing countries;
managing complex stakeholder consultations and consensus building; and
supporting the design and structuring of innovative financing facilities to support health sector interventions in developing countries.
In addition to emerging markets health work, we have also worked extensively advising stakeholders in the UK health sector
