What we look for

CEPA always look for talented individuals with a passion for public policy to join our company. These individuals range from our most junior staff (the Economist grade) to experienced consultants. Those candidates applying for an Economist position within the company will ideally have a post-graduate degree in economics, finance or a relevant discipline, although we welcome applications from outstanding undergraduates. Our requirements for each role will be described in the vacancy, with links on the right hand side of this page. This begins with demonstrating enthusiasm for the work we do and we look favourably upon any prior experience.

Economists will typically work across CEPA sectors, so do not need to identify sector preferences, which is something that we would expect from more experienced candidates. All candidates must have the ongoing legal right to work in the UK.

We draw upon expert support to meet the needs of projects, so have a pool of associates who we work with on more of an ad hoc basis. The recruitment process

Recruitment at CEPA follows a three stage process. The first step is to submit a CV and covering letter. Those successful at this stage will be invited to an interview with our recruitment team at the CEPA offices in London. This interview will involve both an in-person interview and a practical exercise. The final stage is a meeting with one of our management team, which we aim will take place within two weeks of the initial interview.
